Location

At the English Heritage store, Fort Brockhurst, Gosport [EH Ref Nos. 87900139 + 87900129]. These plaques were originally sited beneath the most easterly window in the north wall of the nave.
 

Description

The memorial comprises of three metal plaques - one a device of the 82nd Regiment, the other two displaying inscriptions. All are very dirty, the text being barely legible.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF
THE UNDERMENTIONED OFFICERS, 250 NON-COMMISSIONED
OFFICERS AND SOLDIERS OF THE 82ND REGT
PRINCE OF WALES VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE BEEN KILLED IN
ACTION OR DIED SINCE THE REGIMENT EMBARKED
FOR THE CRIMEA IN 1855. THIS WINDOW IS ERECTED
BY THE OFFICERS NOW SERVING IN THE REGIMENT 1872.
