Further Information

The inscription on the window is believed to come from the Offertorium 'O DOMINE JESU CHRISTE'. The translation is as follows:

'LORD JESUS CHRIST, KING OF GLORY,
DELIVER THE SOULS OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED
FROM THE PAINS OF HELL
AND FROM THE BOTTOMLESS PIT'.

The wording between the two saints names above the inscription means;

'IT IS FINISHED'
