Further Information
In October 1780 Commodore George Gayton commanded a small fleet consisting of three naval ships, the Romulus of 44 guns, the Blonde of 32, and the Delight of 16 together with some smaller vessels that sailed into Chesapeake Bay as part of an invasion force deployed during The Revolution in Virginia, 1775-1783.
